About Michael Marsal

Michael Marsal is one of three founding partners of Alvarez & Marsal Property Investments (AMPI), a vertically integrated commercial real estate firm founded in 2013. The team has been involved in over $500 million of transactions/acquisitions, including 20 leases with Fortune companies. Michael currently oversees the placement of tenants within the AMPI portfolio, while also developing and managing the firm’s growing asset management team. He is focused on leasing services, asset management and hospitality. Michael also works closely with the leadership team on operation and growth and has been a core driver of its service divisions and affiliates — Alvarez & Marsal Project Development (AMPD), Alvarez & Marsal Property Management (AMPM) and Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions (AMPS). Prior to co-founding AMPI, Michael Marsal was responsible for developing, acquiring and managing various Alvarez & Marsal, Inc. investments, after obtaining his marketing degree at LaSalle University. In addition to his core work, he has helped to develop restaurants and hotels such Cottonwood Motel in Millbrook, NY and Chicago's Wells Street Market. Outside the office, Michael enjoys motorsports, boating, hunting, skiing—anything in the great outdoors. He is a proud founder of Dyson Racing Customer Cars, a high-end automotive dealership and service facility with a core focus on motorsport. Michael is an enthusiastic racer, having won the 2012 Baltimore Grand Prix, amongst other races, and remains connected to the motorsport industry with his dedication to restoring on- and off-road vehicles. Michael is continually committed to sustainable farming, currently living on a commercial organic farm with his family in New York. He is grateful to be involved with various philanthropic organizations including the Millbrook School, various land conservation associations, Northeast Organic Farming Association, Teen Living Program and The New Group.
