About Michael Mason

12 years of previous experience in strategic initiatives and business development, within the post secondary system in Edmonton, Alberta, I am currently the Program Manager at techNL responsible for the partner and learner outcomes of a 2 year $32 million, 3,700 learner project, that concludes on March 31 2025. Just before this role, I also served techNL as an Ecosystem Engagement Consultant, where I devloped relationships with various stakeholders, such as employers, educators, post secondary institutions, government, and community organizations, to prepare for the roll.out of the Find Your Future in Tech project. From 2009 to 2021 I worked at two post secondary institutions, in Edmonton where I was responsible for the functions of Business Development, Program Development, Continuing Education and Applied Research. I served on committees for strategic enrolment management, disruption and culture. During my time at NAIT I worked on projects that trained workforce in the skilled trades. During my time at NorQuest College I led teams that trained workforce on Productivity, Inclusive Leadership, Energy and Environmental Management and Public Safety Some of my core competencies gained from my work experience include academic leadership, relationship development, business development, process improvement, partner performance and success, people management and creating culture.
