About Michael Matheidas

A senior Rotating Equipment Specialist concentrated in Projects and Operations for Oil & Gas. After graduating from Texas A&M while working with an engineering maintenance group at a chemical plant, my first full time job was with in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction field working various Chemicals and O&G Projects. After a short stop in the IT Manufacturing business (to try something different) I came back to Oil & Gas and joined ExxonMobil. I have spent close to two decades (living in 6 different countries) gaining tremendous experience as an upstream technical professional building LNG Projects, working in offshore and onshore facilities supporting integrity and reliability programs to drive business results, advanced technology research, engineering support to business development, and even digital transformation. Roles have matured from individual contributor, to leadership/contributing through others, and now represented by more strategic influence. My skill set lies primarily in a combination of business acumen plus a deep foundation of technical skills for machinery systems, in addition to considerable experience with digital transformation, technology development, six sigma, change management, personnel development, etc. The last few years have been focused on more corporate level initiatives to improve our competitiveness and creative methods with our key suppliers to monetize condition based maintenance for gas turbines. The best way to describe what motivates me and where I excel is applying technology and technical teams to solve business problems. On the personal side, my faith and family are the best things about me. I love sailing, working on and driving cars, and traveling. I am also an avid reader and wine aficionado,
