About Michael Mati

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), aspiring to graduate in May 2025 with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems and Technology, with an emphasis in Cybersecurity Management. My short-term career goal is to secure an entry-level full time position at a reputable company in their IT department before graduating. I am currently taking classes such as Cybersecurity Governance, Information Technology Infrastructure, Seminar Series in Information Systems, and a Business Capstone project class. I also hold the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from ISC2, numerous badges from my internship at IBM relating to their watsonx AI and z/OS mainframe, and Google’s Cybersecurity Specialization Certificate. I have worked most recently as a Digital Sales Intern at IBM on the Red Hat team, and in the past I have been a Computer Assistant at the Office of Information Technology at UTD, and a Product Analytics Mgmt. Intern at Nokia. Having these positions in technology during my time as a student have really solidified what I want to pursue in my career, and I’ve gained invaluable experience in the world of analytics, tech sales, and cybersecurity with my work and my university classes.
