In 2009, Michael Mauerer envisioned “frictionless commerce” a platform based on a cloud and mobile technologies that served the customer across any and all channels. As CEO of Teamwork Commerce, he has remained steadfastly focused on bringing that vision into reality. With more than 30 years of experience in designing retail software he is considered an innovator and a highly regarded technology expert in the retail field. His credits include the creation of Retail Pro®, an international retail solution popular in the late 90s and early and used in over 90 countries. He envisioned and led development of the first web-based online UPC catalogs ultimately acquired by SPS commerce. In 2002 and 2003, as part of Intuit’s leadership team he lead development of QuickBooks POS®. In all, there are hundreds of thousands of retail channels using these technologies. He comments “Retailers, are some of the most creative and self-reliant people on earth. It is fascinating that once you have retail in your blood there is little else that compares and the technology side of it just gets better and better”.
