I am an experienced Senior Manager, Educator and Lifelong Learner! I have over 30 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, focusing mainly on healthcare managing business on a P&L basis. I have recently completed my MBA through Athabasca University. I have extensive experience developing policy and procedure manuals, developing disaster plans, developing and implementing contingency plans for emergency relocation of kitchens (set up 2 mobile ktichens due to closure of permanent kitchens for construction), have gone trhough several accreditations, have participated successfully in the sales process and have developed strong managers and strong relationships with my clients. I have strong ties to the industry sitting on the advisory committee for George Brown College (Food and Nutrition Program), the advisory committee for the Canadian Healthcare Association (Food and Nutrition Program), I was a Board Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (Examination Chair) and am a regular guest speaker to classes at George Brown and Centennial College. In addition I have been involved in education of future managers and employees by teaching at Centennial College and currently being a Education Consultant with the CHA as well as developing a new college level online Business Management/ Marketing course.
