About Michael McKenna
After 34 years working in academia, including almost 30 years at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, most recently in the Institute for Health and Sport, I have retired. I am fortunate to have been awarded an honorary position as Emeritus Professor in muscle and exercise physiology, where I will continue my research into exercise, skeletal muscle, potassium and sodium/potassium ATPase regulation in humans, with a focus on fatigue and adaptability in health and disease. I will also continue international collaborations in research and including in China where I also hold an honorary position as Visiting Professor at Southwest University in Chonqing and at Zhuhai College of Science and Technology.
