For nearly 30 years, I served at the forefront of structured finance and credit markets, establishing and maintaining robust governance and risk management frameworks at large institutions (Macquarie Group and Banc of America Securities), and expanding on the skill sets acquired in my early career as a senior accountant (CPA) in the audit division at EY. My approach to risk management is multifaceted, encompassing a trifecta of financial, operational, and regulatory risk. As a trusted advisor and qualified audit committee financial expert, I leverage deep expertise in reporting to boards of directors, executive committees, C-suite teams, and stakeholders on financial reporting, compliance, governance/ESG, investor and shareholder relations, and digital transformation. At Banc of America Securities, I drove innovation, strategic growth, and expansion for new business lines and products, positioning the bank as a leader in structured securities and derivatives. Subsequently at Macquarie, I built and transformed the credit market’s business, as well as served in significant board positions across wholly-owned subsidiaries, demonstrating skills in corporate governance, compliance and risk, strategic leadership, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, technology innovation, talent management, and DEI initiatives. Across these experiences, I brought a track record of steady leadership, operational oversight, technology innovation, and business resilience during financial market volatility, portfolio stress, and new risk environments. Additionally, I played a key role in developing and leading corporate strategies which focused on investing in the organization’s human capital by building and motivating high-performing teams, as well as fostering a culture of diversity, ethics, and integrity. I am actively pursuing corporate board opportunities within the financial services sector (banking, asset management, private equity, fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, decentralized finance (DeFi) startups, and financial software and technology companies), where I can leverage my traditional finance expertise and innovative mindset to guide these companies through the rapidly evolving landscape of modern finance, ensuring they remain competitive, compliant, and forward-thinking.
