Experienced and certified Database Administrator and Data Engineer with a strong systems background working across both on-premise and cloud hosted environments. I have a demonstrated history of working in government and the information technology and services industry. As a data engineer, I have developed robust ETL patterns and processes using SSIS packages for data warehouses supporting an on-premise PowerBi and SSRS report server environment. Strong information technology professional skilled in Database implementation and maintenance, Query design and optimization, SQL replication technologies, Active Directory, Web Design, and Windows Server. I have been designing and supporting SQL systems for over 14 years ranging from SQL 2019 to SQL environments performing data migrations between SQL versions and from external data sources. Extensive SQL replication experience ranging from log shipping to the use of Always On Availability groups. Expert database tuning and optimization skills in both transactional query performance with the use of SQL Profiler and extended events. Strong TSQL skills performing a majority of my management and monitoring tasks through a scripted interface with the use of customized queries. Working as database and systems administrator in a managed services environment for 6 years I have extensive service desk experience and strong troubleshooting skills both SQL and the general environment.
