About Michael Mendoza

I am an educator and current master's student in Library and Information Science with a focus on archives, museums, and material culture. I am interested in applying progressive pedagogical principles to archival and museum contexts in order to promote deeper engagement and learning through innovative and accessible instructional programming and outreach initiatives. I am passionate about crafting impactful learning experiences that give learners of all ages the opportunity to connect their experiences and passions with new subjects and knowledge, and I believe that creating opportunities for these kinds of learning experiences through outreach and instruction can have an enormous impact on archival institutions' public engagement and connection with their community.
