About Michael Menezes

With more than 40 years of experience in the advertising and event management field, Michael Menezes is considered a veteran and leader in the Experiential Event Industry in India. He has also played a pivotal role in creating and building an apex industry body for the Indian Event Fraternity as the Founder President of the Indian Event & Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) that has over 300 members today and is a vibrant network that has been recognized across national and international fora. Today, Showtime can proudly claim to be the technology leaders of the event industry in India having pioneered almost every new technology in the business and hence continually raising the bar for the industry as a whole. Over the last four decades Michael has built up and sustained an enviable client portfolio of brand leaders across a diverse spectrum – The Tata Group, Infosys, The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Boston Consulting Group (BCG), The Star TV Group, Castrol India, SAP, Daimler Benz and DLF, to list a few. And what gives him an even greater sense of pride is the amazing fact that most of these relationships have endured over the past two decades, a testimony to his ability to constantly create value for them. Today after handing over the reins of Showtime to his son, Avik, Michael believes the time has come for him to use his knowledge and talents to do something more meaningful in the healthcare space which is so important and critical in India today. Towards this end, he has launched a not for profit - EkPrana Foundation. The mission of EkPrana is to ensure that the working population of our country is empowered with the knowledge of combating lifestyle diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension and Stress through a wide range of evidence-based experiential initiatives based on the principle of Integrative Healthcare combining modern medical science with Indian traditional systems of Ayurveda & Yoga.
