About Michael Miata

Michael is an attorney admitted in the States of New York and New Jersey, a graduate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and an associate in the Real Estate practice group at Wachtel Missry LLP. While at Hofstra Law School, Michael interned for two New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division judges; the Honorable Stephen A. Bucaria and the Honorable Vito DeStefano. There, Michael engaged in research and decision-drafting (involving complex contract disputes), and learned how drafting with precise language, and proper planning, could have avoided litigation all together. In his current role, Michael's practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate matters in the representation of both institutional and non-institutional clients. With a primary focus on real estate transactions and financing, Michael advises across every stage of a project's lifecycle, from LOI through closing. He is a strong drafter and negotiator, thoroughly ensuring a client's interests are always protected. He especially prides himself on his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
