About Michael Montague

I have been in Retail Management for close to 30 years. I find that I am most successful with a fast pace, energetic and challenging atmosphere. For most of my time at Apple, I was responsible for the Genius Bar, learning a new skill around the service business. What I have found to be key in success in both sales and service is to create an atmosphere of growth and to challenge a team to meet goals. I am ultimately looking to find a company where both the customer experience and employee experience are equal. A company that encourages feedback from the customer and employee, and uses that feedback to create change. A company where I can use my experience, talent and enthusiasm to build a successful team, am consistently developed and presented a challenge to meet sales goals and awarded for excellence. Through my years of experience, I have been open to ambiguity. With the fast pace and challenging environment I thrive on, I have always been flexible with the change that can occur daily. Over the course of my career in Retail Management, I have been responsible for many facets of the day to day responsibilities with large and small teams. This has always included sales generation, customer feedback and experience, talent selection, on-boarding, employee development, review process, new store openings, merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, scheduling, payroll control, and many others.
