About Michael Monteferrante

IT Support Specialist at iSectra while also five months into NJIT’s Cybersecurity Bootcamp. It’s a great balance as I get to apply what I’m learning in real time while supporting users and solving technical issues every day. In my role, I’ve started assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues while learning the ins and outs of providing effective IT support. I come from a Sport Management background, which taught me a lot about communication, staying organized, and working well with different types of people. Those skills translate surprisingly well into IT, especially when supporting non-technical users. Outside of work, I’ve also helped people improve their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, something I still enjoy doing on the side. I’m always happy to collaborate or chat with others in the IT or cybersecurity space, whether you’re just starting out or deep in the field.
