My 42 years in the civil construction industry has broadened my experience and my travel to different areas and countries have only served to enhance my knowledge. I am primarily experienced with civil infrastructure design and construction of roads, highways, underground services, subdivision construction and airports. With my start in the industry as a quantity/layout surveyor for 15 years gives me the ability to track quantities effectively and address possible design/layout issues in the field. A background of materials testing of highways sub-grade, aggregates and asphalt concrete pavement help manage projects by understanding what the materials testing results mean and the ability to trouble shoot problems rapidly and effectively. The understanding and knowledge of Alberta Transportation Standards and Specifications help in the administration of contracts go smoothly and manage contracts with the Partnering Principles which reduces conflicts during and after contract closeouts.
