About Michael Nickl

My name is Michael Nickl, I am an Executive Program & Project Manager and Managing Partner of mnc projektmanagement + consulting GmbH with more than 25 years of experience. My work focusses on transition and transformation management, IT outsourcing projects, IT infrastructure projects as well as the restructuring of non-performing IT projects. I am a PMI® certified project management professional (PMP®) since 2005. I started my career after finishing university as Diplombetriebswirt (MBA equivalent) at various smaller companies before I started as a SAP consultant an project manager at Hewlett Packard in I was soon also employed as a project manager for IT infrastructure and IT service management projects. In 2004, I took on the role of responsible program manager in an international IT outsourcing project for the first time. At that time, I also specialized in the restructuring of non-performing IT projects and joined a team of restructuring experts at HP. In 2006, I moved to EDS (Electronic Data Systems), which was the world's largest IT outsourcing company at the time, before it was acquired by HP in 2008. In 2009, I started my own business as a freelance project manager in order to be able to advise customers independently of the respective IT service provider and support them in their IT projects. Since then, I have managed programs and projects for international companies (Allianz Insurance, Boston Consulting Group, Fujitsu) as well as for various medium-sized IT service providers. In 2021, I founded mnc projektmanagement + consulting GmbH, of which I have been the managing partner ever since. In the years 2014, 2015 an 2024 I was a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg - Schweinfurt.
