I am a senior finance expert and corporate and investment banker with more than 24 years’ international experience in the Middle East and Australia. I have worked across a range of diverse sectors, seamlessly combining this expertise with my understanding of corporate finance and debt markets to deliver significant value and innovation to world-leading airlines, as well as large global and regional banks. I possess a track record of delivering exceptional revenue growth, cost savings, managing business critical relationships, and achieving success across multiple product lines. Furthermore, I have extensive knowledge of designing and implementing innovative conventional and Islamic financing. Currently, I work as Head of Corporate Finance for Riyadh Air, where I am setting up the team for a newly formed airline, backed by the PIF. Before this role, I spearheaded financing within the corporate treasury for Emirates. I planned, benchmarked, managed, and implemented financing strategies and capital structure decisions for acquisitions, aircraft purchases and projects worldwide, including subsidiary companies. I held accountability for ensuring compliance with all aspects of a leasing and debt portfolio exceeding $28BN. In addition to raising sizeable capital financing, I saved considerable capital commitment and interest costs, managed the balance sheet impact of the fleet residual value risk, and optimized the rates hedging strategy mix. I also directed the finance response to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a large amount of incremental liquidity employing various strategic levers in less than three months. Previously, I held the position of Unit Head Relationship Management for FGB in Dubai and the Northern Emirates from 2014 to 2016, and from 2007 to 2014, I served as Director of Global Corporates, Origination and Client Coverage at SCB.
