About Michael Okimura

I began my career in financial services shortly after graduating college in 2005. I’ve always had an affinity for investing, even at a young age and after a short stint away from the industry I have rejoined Equitable Advisors to continue my career in the field I enjoy most. Helping small business owners retain employees and maximize retirement contributions and savings is reciprocally rewarding. Growing up, baseball was a big part of my life. When I started playing in high school I was so excited from all that I had learned I began coaching my younger brother’s team to help teach him and others what I knew. I realized then I had a passion for educating people which is what drew me into the finance world. With a keen interest already, I felt it was the best transition into a career out of college. As a Financial Consultant, I focus on education for my clients to guide them on the most appropriate path to their financial goals. With that as the basis we can then move forward with building and preserving their wealth. I'm also proud to be a part of Equitable as for over 30 years the Equitable Foundation has contributed to the success and vitality of our communities through grants, partnerships, and volunteerism. Outside of work I enjoy watching baseball, Husky football, and playing golf. I volunteer with the University of Washington Tyee Sports Council. I was born and raised in the Seattle area where I spend my spare time with family and friends.
