About Michael Oneill
I am a seasoned university professor with 15 years of experience teaching photography and visual literacy. I am also an accomplished commercial photographer with a specialization in architectural photography, art documentation, and portraiture. As an artist, my work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including at the University of Notre Dame, and the Poetics of Light exhibition. My work is also part of various private and public museum collections including the Bechtler Museum of Modern in Charlotte, NC, the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe, NM. I have won outstanding teaching awards at the Art Institute of Charlotte, and I have designed curricula for accredited universities and non-profit art organizations. In addition to my expertise in photography, I specialize in multi-spectral photography, creating digital panoramas (as a beta tester for the Gigapan Project), color management, and prepress work. With my diverse background and extensive experience, I am well-suited for university teaching positions and commercial photography opportunities. I am currently the Director of Development and Education at the Light Factory Photo Arts Center in Charlotte, NC.
