About Michael Oviedo

I am currently the Vice President of PCGS International at Collectors and lead the company's Greater China business operations for both PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) and PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), as well as the the Asia region for PCGS. I have over 13 years of experience in China, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, an MA in philosophy from Texas A&M University, and a Level 6 HSK certificate in Chinese language proficiency, which was the highest level at the time. As an avid collector, I am passionate about expanding Collectors' presence and reputation within the Asian market, where I have significantly scaled the PCGS business in China, expanded it within the region, as well as launched PSA’s official China submission center, and helped start up Goldin Auctions within the China market. Prior to Collectors, I was an award-winning public speaking coach, nominated for the People’s Republic of China’s Friendship Award, collaborated on several projects with China’s largest education publisher, worked with a team to raise over $1 B USD in investment, and helped organize the dental industry’s first conference on sustainability in Reykjavik, Iceland. I’m fascinated with the planning, creative problem solving, system building, and multiple-hat wearing involved in building a company and am excited to be currently doing this with two passions of mine: collectibles and China.
