At the age of seventeen, due to promptings from my father, I joined the Navy. That single life changing decision opened up a lifetime of opportunities and experiences that I never dreamed possible and made me who I am. I take pride and ownership in the things I set out to accomplish. I bring to the table a set of rules and values I learned and adopted from the people who took me "under their wings" and mentored me. I'll bring those to my next challenge as well as my belief that I can make a difference. I balance my technical skills with a commitment to proven leadership methods, a track record of engaging staff and recognized for building extraordinary "winning" teams. I am driven to see the results of my efforts. My technical background includes- Naval Aircraft Propulsion System Maintenance Technician - 15 YEARS - F14 Tomcat Fighter Squadron 31, Power Plants Branch Leading Petty Officer (Work Center Supervisor in the last Tomcat squadron to decommission )- Career Information Program Manager and Advisor to Veterans in Transition - Successful Navy Recruiter - Installation, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Technician in Aerospace Engineering Since leaving the Navy, I have spent more than a decade, personally coordinating the installation of 63 Engineered Material Arresting Systems,(EMAS) at 42 Commercial airports world-wide that were constructed at end of runways and designed to save lives, prevent aircraft destruction and protect airport assets. My attention to detail, Quality Assurance concepts and testing and troubleshooting prowess deliver the results of a project done right the first time and guaranteeing the prevention of catastrophic events and public safety. I thrive on the opportunity to always represent my firm in the best light, work with customers to ensure they understand the process, engage them in open communication and problems solving that produces high level satisfaction and quality results.
