About Michael Papavero

From getting into my first film festivals at age twelve, to living on a sailboat so I could edit indie features at twenty, I do this because I love it. I've been lucky enough over the last ten years to experience many different aspects of Post. From cutting features and short-form narrative, to now cutting commercials. Each project gives me the chance to work with so many amazingly creative people and companies. It's impossible not to see every day as an opportunity to learn and grow through all the blood, sweat, and tears (and undeniable joy) as we all adventure to picture lock. It's a process that never gets old to me, and one that only makes it easier to follow the first lessons I ever learned coming into the film industry; a positive attitude is everything, and never forget how lucky you are to be getting paid to play make-believe every day. The last few years my focus has been primarily commercial editorial. I have been proud to work on spots for Disney, PING, Qualcomm, Franklin Sports, Peloton, and many others. Each project offering up a new insight into the intricacies of our industry. From direct to client spots, to projects with three or more agencies attached. I have learned to creatively and efficiently navigate to the final cut, in a way that I hope is always inclusive and positive to all the stakeholders. Here's to a prosperous 2022 for our industry and our communities. I can't wait to see what the new year brings all of us.
