About Michael Payton

I have always been driven to develop my personal growth through better understanding the world via physical activities and tangible skills. I have traveled around the world and engaged with local communities through teaching slacklining, natural building and service work. This has brought me to my current life style of teaching, building and engulfing myself in the natural world. Currently, I am apart of Crossing Lines, which is a nonprofit, slackline organization committed to supporting and teaching refuge youth the skills of slacklining. It focuses on bringing the community together through the mental and physical challenges of the sport. I am also currently building my own tiny home, which has been full of profound and humbling experiences. I am always looking for my next adventure, whether it be a through hike through the south-western deserts or traversing the continent via motorcycle. You can find me slinging solar on rooftops during the week or free soloing the flatirons in my spare time.
