About Michael Peart
I worked for fourteen years as a notetaker/CSW at City Lit, supporting D/deaf and disabled students in further and higher education. I was also Quality Standards and Notetaking Tutor-Coordinator for its Professional Notetaking Training. Since my last role at City Lit in July 2014, I have worked as CSW 2014- 2015 for Appa Me Ltd, as well as the Sensory Service for Hearing and Visual Impairment at Shooter’s Hill Post 16 College 2016-18, and helped established Note-Able Notetakers Ltd teaching part-time level 3 notetaking from 2015 to date. I’m now reemployed part-time at City Lit as Sessional CSW since 2019. I hold British Sign Language Level 6 with a view to becoming TSLI, as well as notetaking qualifications. I gained a PGCE in teaching, an M.A. in Mental Health/Social Policy, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
