About Michael Peolsson

I work as international coordinator and program officer at the Swedish e-Health Agency. My position at the Swedish e-Health Agency involve different tasks under the umbrella of digital health and e-health. The last 4 years I have been co-leading and leading Swedish representative parts in several international consortium at EU level, Global Digital Health Partnership basically around digital health policy interaction work. I currently co-lead In a Joint Action for the European Health Data Space TEHDAS in order to help support the Member States and European Commission implementation of European Health Data Space. I previously worked with tasks concerning international experience exchange - learning by example - national strategy for digital health and national policy. During the last three years I'm part of a core group for global digital health policy at Global Digital Health Partnership consortium. At Linköping university. My first role at the Collaboration Office was to develop an Agenda 2030 collaboration platform for the university. My second role was to develop a long-term collaboration platform between strategic five focus areas at the university and region Östergötlands' five smart specialization areas, in order to create challenged based projects in triple helix settings. At RISE - The research institute of Sweden. My recent work for three years as a project manager at Digital Health Lab, RISE. The aim is to contribute to new ICT based products, services and processes that meet future societal challenges by way of e-health solutions. I was a clinical project manager position for a large four hospital, 22 partners, COPD project, aiming at developing full scale solutions supporting severely ill patients through care-at-distance and home monitoring services. Between 2009-2015 I worked at an innovation cluster New Tools for Health, a network consisting of university, companies, public health and social care system and regional politicians. The main task was to stimulate new ICT based solutions meeting the societal challenge of the aging population. I was responsible for the priority area "ICT solutions supporting Independence when suffering from chronic diseases" and "application-oriented research". At Linköping university. Senior researcher. Research within rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, software engineering, medical imaging, musculoskeltal analysis and visualisation, big data analytics and predictive modeling applied to chronic pain syndroms and image analysis. I have some 35 peer-reviewed publications.
