Michael is an architectural designer, photographer and graphic designer currently based in Edinburgh. He has a range of experience across several fields, with a focus towards architecture and spatial design. Within this discipline his experience varies from single residential through large multi-residences, hospitality and office buildings primarily within urban contexts. Outside of practice work Michael spends his spare time designing small scale exploratory spatial interventions which attempt to investigate several themes and ideas around new media and emergent technology via a collaborative workshop established with colleagues called DATUM. Michael also pursues several lines of research surrounding architectural interactions with water, and the increasingly frequent and potent spatial conditions which arise from their coincidence, and the often simultaneous generation of maps and their ramifications on the production of architectural space and projects.
