Satellite communications engineer/VSAT and HF specialist with over 30 years of experience demonstrated in the delivery of services to support critical communications services. I have worked at ground stations and NOC's on a 24/7 shift basis providing customer focused support. network monitoring, maintenance, fault diagnosis/rectification along with Access monitoring and policing of the Military Skynet 4 and 5 X-band constellations of satellites. Along with this I was also shift manager/supervisor. I have over 10 years field experience working with a variety of VSAT (Ku & X-band) in the Middle East (Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman and Qatar), Comtech, Paradise, SWEDSH, Anasat etc, with some Hughes and iDirect experience also. This was in support of UK and Nato Military operations. Areas of expertise include satellite communications engineering, systems engineering, HF, satellite ground stations, VSAT and mobile satellite systems at Military X band, commercial KU, Ka, L, C and S bands (including installation, configuration, testing, fault finding and resolution). Well developed skills and knowledge of cabling, encryption devices, tracking systems, high powered amplifiers, satellite modems, transceivers, SSPA’s, BUC's and LNB's.
