About Michael Petrone

I communicate effectively to persons of all backgrounds. I think well on my feet and thrive under the crunch of deadlines and impossible odds. I’ve become well versed at collaborating on every facet of marketing, communication and design with others inside and outside of my organization. From establishing and applying corporate identity across a broad spectrum of materials to working with outside web developers and photographers to recruiting and training sales people, there is nothing that I lack in hands on experience. As a graphic designer I learned quickly how to maintain an objective outlook at all times and in all situations. This ability allows me to make decisions and offer input that are in the best interest of the company as a whole even at the expense of my own preferences. As the manager of a high volume gift card production department, I have overseen hundreds of orders a month, meeting contractually mandated delivery dates for each one. I know well the pressures of maintaining razor-thin lead times and profit margins even in the peak of the Holiday Season. From this I’ve learned how to maximize my time and balance multiple projects simultaneously, bringing all of them to successful completion with precision. As the point person for a sales support team I have worked closely with sales people of all types day in and day out. This experience has taught me how to quickly turn strangers into allies and more importantly, how to diplomatically put out fires before they can burn out of control. Above all else, my experiences have taught me the value of teamwork. I came up through a small, intimate company fueled by the passion of her employees. There is no place for selshness in such an environment. Here I learned when to motivate, when to insist and when to compromise. In short, how to lead.
