About Michael Peyton

Michael Peyton started his law enforcement career in 2005. and has since provided progressively responsible service and leadership in the municipal setting. Last serving as a Lieutenant in the Bureau of Patrol services, he has a proven history of working with the community to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens. Michael possesses a strong professional background that is balanced between real word experience and education. Michael has 3,300 + hours of advanced and specialized training and posses numerous certifications issued through Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council and the International Association of Chief's of Police. A Motivated self starter, Michael has supervised 8 of the 15 years while serving within law enforcement to include entire police shifts. He has the ability to work as a team player in order to accomplish tasks at hand with the application of critical thinking, and attention to detail. Serving as an instructor, he has excellent oral and communications skills which allows him to understand complex problems and/or explain them. His investigative skills allow for the analysis of critical situations and issues, identify options, draw logical conclusions based on standards, law, and policy.
