About Michael Plath

As the Vice President of Lending at Educational Community Alliance Credit Union, I have over 9 years of experience in leading and transforming lending and collections departments. I have designed and implemented a new business plan with full P&L responsibility, built a new risk profile, and created custom analytics dashboards to manage and communicate the newly implemented strtegic plan. I have also chaired the Asset Liability Management Committee, leading healthy and sustainable balance sheet management. I am passionate about providing leadership, training, direction, and support to the credit union's board of directors, management, and staff. I have managed business development, contract negotiation, and relationships with existing core membership groups, departments, and vendors. I have also supervised and directed all lending, collections, and full service representative department staff, respective functions and governing policies, as well as loan promotion, pricing, production, compliance, underwriting, delinquency, collections, recovery, and overall portfolio P&L performance. I hold the following certifications and professional designations: Credit Union Investments Professional (CCUIP), Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), Credit Union Business Development Professional (CBDP), Certified Credit Union Supervisory Committee (CCUSC), and Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB).
