With a solid foundation in student affairs and a passion for fostering inclusive and supportive campus environments, I bring a wealth of experience to the realm of higher education. Holding a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas, coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, I have honed my skills in leadership, diversity, and community building. My journey in residential life has been rich and diverse, having served in various capacities at institutions such as California State Polytechnic University - Humboldt, University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, Lamar Community College, and University of Central Arkansas. From overseeing day-to-day operations for hundreds of students to spearheading initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion, my roles have equipped me with the ability to adapt, lead, and collaborate effectively. Notably, during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I demonstrated resilience by implementing innovative online platforms for training and support, ensuring continuity in student services. In addition to my expertise in residential life, I have also championed labor union initiatives as a Humboldt Chapter Union Steward for the Academic Professionals of California (APC). Through this role, I have advocated for fair treatment and resolution of workplace issues, while fostering solidarity and amplifying collective bargaining power. My commitment to equitable treatment extends beyond campus borders, as evidenced by my international engagement experience, where I played a pivotal role in promoting faculty-led study abroad trips and facilitating collaborations with residential colleges to develop study abroad programs. With a relentless dedication to student success, a knack for building strong relationships, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, I am poised to make meaningful contributions to any academic community.
