About Michael Pulley

I have been at FedEx Ground for 11 years. I started as a package handler in 2009 then moved into an admin position 3 months later. Part of that position was in quality assurance, address corrections and dealing with damaged packages and hazerdous materials packages. I was in that position for 3 years. I decided after that time to go back to school, and I got a an associate's degree in applied science, from Utah Valley University. I was still working for FedEx ground during that time. But had moved into another position wich was still in admin but as a checkin clerk, my duties were to receive scanner equipment, handle cods that drivers brought back and the entering of driver paperwork into the system. After I had graduated, in October of 2016 an operations manager position opened up I applied and got the position, and have been in that role ever since. Part of my duties include the hiring of package handlers using the E Hire system. Conducting new hire package handler orientation meetings. Checking and reviewing I 9 documents, drivers licenses and Social Security card information and entering that information into the E Hire system. Managing of package handlers on the dock and the loading and unloading of trailers and Van's inside the building. Moving vans and trailers on and off the unload doors. Checking that package handlers have correctly clocked in and out of the My Time system, making time adjustments as needed. setting up drivers at the end of the evening, ensuring that all trailers are set up to go to their next destination and end of the evening production reports and entering them into the FedEx ground system.
