Detective Michael Ramos is a highly experienced law enforcement professional with over 28 years of service, including 13 years specializing in crimes against children within the Child Protection Unit. Throughout his career, he has led complex investigations into child abuse, homicide, exploitation, and trafficking, always applying a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach that prioritizes the safety and dignity of vulnerable individuals.Detective Ramos also brings expertise in hostage negotiation, having served as a trained crisis negotiator in high-pressure incidents involving at-risk victims. His background includes work as a narcotics advisor, providing guidance in drug/vice-related investigations—particularly where substance abuse intersects with child welfare concerns. In addition, his experience with asset forfeiture has been instrumental in dismantling criminal enterprises and ensuring the recovery of illicit assets linked to serious offenses.Recognized for his strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and unwavering commitment to justice, Detective Ramos works collaboratively with social services, child advocacy centers, and multi-agency partners to protect children and hold offenders accountable.
