About Michael Reese

I’ve always enjoyed working with teams, building relationships, and problem solving. And that’s why I have enjoyed a fruitful 26+ year career in management. Most of my career has been in retail with Walmart, Target, and Carmax. I did a little bit of everything from overnight logistics, hardlines, clothing, front end, logistics, food service, HR aspects, remodels and inventory. With CarMax I had roles as the service manager and overnight managing the cosmetic reconditioning of the cars as well as the technicians. I managed the service department at the Bobcat of N. VA location of Winchester Equipment Company. There I was responsible for overseeing the efficiencies of the technicians to drive parts and service sales and drive customer service. Most recently I have been the Office Manager and HR Designee at Heartland Hopice in Warrenton, VA. There I managed the Team Coordinators and oversaw workflow from referral to discharge of hospice patients. Also handled the branch HR duties, payroll, and billing. Although each role has been slightly different, a constant throughout my career has been being able to hire, train and build great teams focused on driving results and excellent customer service through consistent communication and team engagement. I’ve been a trainer for other managers and team members throughout my career and in each role I became the go-to person for help and assistance from my peers and team members. I have a commitment to life-long learning and in-fact, when I am not spending time with my wife and kids, I am currently expanding my knowledge of Spanish and dabbling in IT courses. I am confident that my passion, integrity, and experience would be a great fit for any new management role.
