About Michael Reid

Dedicated intercultural DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice) professional with over 25 years of combined experience driving impactful global multilingual DEI initiatives across corporate, non-profit, and educational sectors and proven track record of designing and implementing strategic DEI frameworks that create inclusive environments and align with organizational sustainability goals. I design and lead workshops in multiple languages for a broad variety of groups and stakeholders on diversity, cross cultural communication, language access, race, and inclusion issues, have chaired and sat on the board of multiple organizations working for diversity and inclusion, and have studied in three different countries. My passion is using my linguistic and cultural skills to facilitate communication, true understanding, and equity between different groups of people, and this is reflected in my research area of adolescent and adult language maintenance in immigrant communities. As a consultant and educator I have a proven track record of leading fundamental organizational change in order to create opportunities for meaningful cultural enrichment in an environment of academic rigor.
