About Michael Richold

I was hired by GWL in March 2023 as an Outlet Supervisor. I helped oversee the operations of three food outlets as well as the main restaurant as a fill-in. I helped write schedules and was responsible for maintaining the dry storage area. I filled-in when necessary for the FOH and BOH, either due to high demand or lack of personnel. In July, I was moved to a permanent position as a supervisor in the main restaurant while still helping with the Outlets when needed. Since taking over the restaurant, customer satisfaction has increased 2+ fold, employee morale has increased and the overall quality of service has improved. I was a private investor in a seasonal kitchen (April-October) located at a B&B/outdoor recreation area. My main goal was to help the owner expand his food service capabilities. I also worked the front desk, managed the B&B reservations, and always provided customer support when needed. After three years of growth, I minimized my hands-on capacity because I was able to provide the owner with the knowledge of running a successful kitchen and I was able to hire competent employees that will help him succeed. I spent 9 years in law enforcement. That position allowed me to become more proficient in conflict resolution, investigations, home and personal security, and community relations. I am adept at handling high stress situations and multitasking. During that time I was also President of my local FOP lodge and I also preside over a non-profit that focused on helping local children. Prior to my law enforcement career, I was a General Manager in the restaurant industry for 6+ years. My knowledge of front-of-house and back-of-house operations is quite extensive. I am proficient in Microsoft programs as well as Micros and other PoS systems. All of my experiences have honed my skills as a great communicator and problem solver. I have excellent listening skills and my ability to truly empathize with people in need helps resolve issues quickly.
