I’m currently leading the legal workstream supporting one of the most significant banking integrations in Australia (ANZ’s acquisition of Suncorp Bank), having worked on the transaction from an M&A perspective. While I’ll continue to be part of ANZ’s Corporate Advisory team, helping ANZ with its M&A activity, my main priority over coming months will be the successful integration of the Suncorp Bank and ANZ businesses. I’ve previously practised law at King & Wood Mallesons (Melbourne), Russell McVeagh (both Auckland and Wellington), Allen & Overy (Moscow), and the Financial Markets Authority (Wellington). I specialise in complex international transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and special infrastructure projects (like Australia's NBN), and have acted for a range of both domestic and international clients. Having worked on ANZ’s Suncorp Bank acquisition since before signing (in 2022), I’m looking forward to supporting ANZ’s integration of this acquisition. Specialist interests include financial services, telecommunications, technology, infrastructure projects, securities and financial markets regulation (FAR).
