About Michael Roland

My 30+ year career in federal and state level law enforcement allows me to quickly and skillfully identify potential threats, add preventative security and risk measures, and successfully investigate crimes while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the public and private sectors. I enjoy creating and executing comprehensive training curriculums for civilians and law enforcement officers with a specialty in firearm safety, tactical medicine, workforce violence prevention, FEMA, and NIMS. My colleagues compliment me on my ability to bridge the communication gap with non-technical stakeholders so that they can understand even the most complex components of training. I am an avid learner; continued education and training allow me to stay up to date on best practices while learning new tools and strategies to apply in my work as well as share with others. Recently I have successfully completed certifications in Workplace Violence Prevention Specialist (VPS) and National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) among many others. In addition to law enforcement, I also serve as a tactical paramedic. This allows me to navigate high-stress situations with confidence and a calm demeanor that puts others at ease while identifying any potential risks or threats on scene.
