About Michael Romano

I am the national co-leader of the life sciences biopharma industry practice group at RSM. I have over 30 years of diverse experience in the life sciences industry as an assurance, tax, and business consultant, having started my career with a Big Four accounting firm. In addition to my audit and consulting experience, my industry experience encompasses roles in general management, financial management, M&A and global operations having orchestrated M&A transactions, carve-outs, restructurings, and executing numerous growth strategies. As a Partner in our Financial Consulting Practice, I serve clients in a consulting capacity offering finance and accounting outsourcing services, business process outsourcing, and FP & A and CFO advisory services. My client base spans from emerging growth and mid-market companies to large pharma. I assist my clients with their accounting and financial operations and reporting requirements along with projects involving capital raises, M&A, carve-outs, finance transformations, and providing leadership and financial guidance to execute initiatives for growth.
