About Michael Rugh

At Texas A&M University, I lead initiatives focused on transforming education through collaboration, interactive technologies, and game-based learning. As Director of Aggie Collaborate, I guide university-wide efforts to connect students, faculty, and staff in forming teams that advance research, teaching, service, and administrative innovation. Since its inception (originally as the Aggie Research Programs), Aggie Collaborate has helped over ten thousand students, staff, and faculty come together to pursue shared goals and make a meaningful impact across disciplines. I’m honored to support and expand this work through structured programs like the Research Corps, Proposal Development Corps, and Academic Administration Corps, each designed to help teams thrive and ideas take shape. In parallel, our interdisciplinary teams at the LIVE Lab design, develop, and study educational games, immersive environments, and interactive tools that make learning more accessible, engaging, and effective. I’m always open to collaboration with educators, researchers, and organizations interested in advancing innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and teamwork.
