About Michael Sachs

With over 30 years of experience in the beverage industry, I bring a wealth of brand management, field marketing and sales expertise to my current role at GALLO. As the Senior Regional Marketing Director for Spirits, I am responsible for local marketing activities for the Spirit of Gallo portfolio, which includes renowned brands such as HIGH NOON, PINK WHITNEY, DON FULANO, KOMOS, and HORSE SOLDIER. Previously, I served as Marketing Director for NEW AMSTERDAM SPIRITS, E. & J. BRANDY, FAMILIA CAMARENA TEQUILA, and RUMHAVEN. My career also includes a tenure as Director of Marketing for Philadelphia Distilling, where I was responsible for the strategic and marketing plans for the company’s portfolio of handcrafted spirits, including BLUECOAT AMERICAN DRY GIN. Before joining Philadelphia Distilling, I held the position of Global Director of Marketing for ICELANDIC GLACIAL WATER. I also co-founded and served as President of CODE BLUE Recovery Drink. My earlier career saw me working in Miami for Bacardi USA as Marketing Manager for GREY GOOSE VODKA, where I played a pivotal role in the brand's growth and positioning in the U.S. market, doubling sales from 1.5 million to 3 million cases and making it the fastest-growing spirits brand. Prior to my tenure at Bacardi USA, I worked in New York City for Pernod Ricard as an Assistant Marketing Manager for WILD TURKEY BOURBON. I also gained valuable experience working for a distributor, Frank-Lin Distillers, as a New Business Development Manager in Los Angeles. My career began in the packaging industry with Saxco International, my family business, where I worked as an Account Manager for the largest distributor of glass bottles in North America. Additionally, I have experience working in Philadelphia for Charles Jacquin et Cie as a Promotions Manager for CHAMBORD and DOMAINE DE CANTON liqueur. I hold an MBA from the University of Miami and a BA from Boston University.
