About Michael Saks

With nearly 25 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and quality assurance and control (QA/QC) management, I am passionate about creating and maintaining safe and healthy work environments for diverse industries and clients. As the Director Health, Safety and Environment at BDI, and previously as an HSE and QA/QC Consultant at SET/Go Safety, I apply my expertise in occupational safety, workplace safety, and industrial safety to provide comprehensive and customized solutions for various projects and challenges. I value collaboration, innovation, and excellence, and I strive to align my goals with the mission and vision of BDI and its clients. In my current role, I perform numerous, including program and policy development, site inspections, training, regulatory compliance assistance and DOT fleet management. I work with clients from different sectors, such as construction, energy, and process/production facilities, and I tailor my approach to their specific needs and expectations. I leverage my skills in risk assessment, hazard identification, incident investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are met and exceeded. I also communicate effectively with various stakeholders, such as managers, workers, contractors, regulators, and insurers, to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
