About Michael Salat

I specialize in launching and managing digital news, data and analytics products for the financial industry, analysis of new markets and global expansion, and corporate strategy. Most recently, I have been publishing actionable intelligence and working with leading financial institutions on sustainable investing and environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies. My experience includes seven years in the financial services industry, including in Citigroup’s equity research and asset management divisions. I was a senior management team member and launched numerous subscription products globally for digital media company Money-Media, taking it from a startup through its acquisition by Pearson Inc.'s Financial Times in 2008, where I became head of global corporate strategy. I launched CleanTechIQ, which publishes news and research on sustainable investment and innovative clean technologies, including data on financing and deployment of sustainable and resource-efficient infrastructure. Our newsletter subscribers include: private equity firms, infrastructure investors, project developers corporations, asset managers and banks. I also provide strategic consulting to financial institutions and corporations. I have recently worked with major asset management firms on integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies into their investment process, fundraising, and designing new sustainable investment products.
