About Michael Salva

With over ten years of experience in mechanical design engineering and project management, I am passionate about creating innovative and sustainable products that meet the needs of various industries. My core competencies include SolidWorks CAD design, management, and ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance in engineering change management and product realization. I currently work as a Engineering Manager at Steelhead Composites, a leading manufacturer of high pressure vessels and hydrogen storage solutions. In my current role, I oversee a small team of engineers and manage key pressure vessel development projects in SCUBA, CNG and hydrogen storage. I have developed two custom pressure vessels for a rocket's ignition supply system and a new product line of Type IV pressure vessels for high pressure hydrogen storage. I have also participated in multiple quality audits on document control, product realization, and change management. I use my skills in goal setting, delegation, and CAD to ensure the quality and efficiency of our designs and processes. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team that strives for excellence and innovation.
