About Michael Schilling

I’m a Culture and Scientific Engagement Manager with a background in immunology and a passion for making science accessible, engaging, and impactful. At Boehringer Ingelheim, I lead initiatives that bridge science and people, internally and externally. One of my proudest achievements is launching a lay-friendly internal education series on our R&D portfolio, regularly attracting over participants per session. These sessions help demystify complex science, foster cross-functional understanding, and strengthen our innovation culture. Beyond my professional role, I volunteer with the Kriseninterventionsteam of the Ulm Fire Department, providing emergency psychological support to people in acute crisis situations. This experience has deepened my commitment to mental health, resilience, and emotional intelligence, values I bring into every aspect of my work. I’m open to international opportunities and collaborations that align with my mission: to connect people with science in meaningful, human-centered ways.
