About Michael Seifert

I am a Professor of Information Systems and SAP Technologies at the Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences. My work focuses on the digital transformation of complex IT landscapes, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) and specialized SAP technologies. In my academic role, I explore the design of information systems, especially in the context of platform technologies and their integration into enterprise-wide environments. My research focuses on the management of IT architectures and their role in digital transformation processes. I combine methodological rigor with practical relevance. A particular focus lies in supporting decision-making in the context of Enterprise Architecture Management with AI. I also enjoy working on applied projects in close collaboration with organizations, exploring new technologies and creating lighthouse use cases through joint studies. In my role as a technology advisor, I provide expert guidance to CIOs, digital leadership teams, and startups. I assist them in making critical architectural decisions, designing effective governance structures, and translating digital strategies into practical operational initiatives. In startup settings, I concentrate on scalable technology and platform design, while in enterprise environments, I serve as a strategic partner for long-term technology planning. As a speaker, I regularly present at conferences, panels, and executive sessions. I prefer to give presentations on topics such as enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and the evolving role of academic expertise in technological innovation.
