About Michael Shea

My role within organizations is to ensure continuous improvement by working with all levels of staff, top down, and bottom up. The key word here: “continuous,” because healthy change must be sustainable and not dependent on consultants or other external forces to keep things growing. My leadership approach focuses on teams and individuals, is holistic, and based on the Toyota Production System principles acquired through my Lean certification. These principles and methods apply to any industry, and my wheelhouses are manufacturing/logistics and healthcare. They extend to core business (operational and back-office), supply chain management, clinical support, and project management. Other expertise includes: corporate strategy/planning, customer experience, web/digital strategy, service center, corporate marketing/sales and finance/accounting. My approach focuses on teamwork, respect, and creating value while eliminating waste, which has helped organizations generate millions of dollars in savings.
