About Michael Shelton

Hi! I'm a friendly, tenacious, and service-oriented software engineer. I have a career in custom web development, particularly in e-commerce and big data, doing everything from server set-up to programming to database administration to client-side applications to project management. I've worked with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript long enough to watch it toddle into "serverless" applications and continue to learn whatever I can. I have the most experience PHP/MySQL, but I use and learn whatever is best for the job at-hand. More often than not, I have been a part of groups that have built custom software and databases from the ground up. I have also worked with several open-source frameworks, including Laravel and VueJS. I am a big fan of Docker, unit testing, data-driven marketing, cloud computing, and micro-service architectures. All in all, I pride myself on being well-rounded, constantly learning new things, and building up those around me. How can I help:)
