About Michael Sickels

Aloha Kakou! I am a 3D printing enthusiast looking for new applications for additive manufacturing. I am a member member of the Global 3D Printer Team at Mimaki Engineering. I work with our state of the art full color 3D printers (3DUJ-553 & 3DUJ-2207). I also perform 3D modeling/fixing (Blender/Autodesk), operation of our 3D printers and English & Japanese interpretation/translation. I hail from Honolulu, Hawaii. I am bilingual in English and Japanese. I first entered Saint Louis University and completed a 2-year flight certification program. I successfully acquired my FAA Commercial Pilot License with both Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings. I then moved on to the University of Missouri (MIZZOU) where I graduated with a B.S. in Plant Science Genetics, Breeding, and Biotechnology. As a part of this program, I spent a year working in a research lab doing routine genetic modification of plants and single celled organisms and even performed confocal microscopy. In the winter of 2020, I graduated with an MBA at William Woods University.
