About Michael Singh

Hello! I was born and raised in the Flint, Michigan area, attended high school at Luke M. Powers Catholic (original location). I graduated from Michigan State with an undergraduate bachelors of arts in interpersonal/organization communication with cognates in business & social science in 2003. I began working in food service management in 2003 and was an assistant manager at Fire Rock restaurant & bar in Hartland, MI until 2006 when I relocated to Arizona to attend the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences where I became a certified Audio Engineer (less than a one year program). I returned to Michigan in 2007 and began working again at the same restaurant & bar which had changed names to Grille 23. I worked at Grille 23 as General Manager until the business closed in 2013. I then relocated to East Lansing and began working as a Food & Nutrition Supervisor at McLaren Greater Lansing from 2013 until 2016. During that time I completed an Executive Masters Program in Human Resources Management through the Eli Broad college at Michigan State. In 2016 McLaren outsourced the department and although I was offered the opportunity to stay I accepted a position as 2nd shift Human Resources Generalist at the DexSys location of Magna International where I am currently still employed. I am lucky to be a part of a fantastic HR team and a company that is operated under strong upper management within the automotive industry. I am also a musician on the side and have been playing electric and acoustic guitar for 26 years. I have been part of a touring rock band (on the side) and still enjoy writing, recording and preforming music.
